Market Movements - 05 Aug 2024

The sell-off across the globe led to a massive decline in equity markets and has affected cryptocurrencies as well. Investors became cautious following a soft jobs report from the US, raising fears of an oncoming recession. This coupled with ongoing tensions in Middle East, the market plummeted sharply.

Bitcoin was down by -17.97% to $50,032.29, and Ethereum dipped by -23.42% to $2,235.53. BNB also declined by -21.38% to $415.72, while Solana was down by -21.74% to $113.03.

Among altcoins, Tron dipped by -8.01% to $0.118, and Toncoin declined by -19.41% to $4.97. Cardano also declined by -19.46% to $0.289, and Avalanche was in red by -20.94% to $17.84.
